Ghost Rider

I used to be a comic book artist in another life. Sometimes I do drawings of comic book characters I drew during that period to warm up, experiment with a different technique, or whatever. The trick to devoting the time to experimenting like this is the hope of being able to sell some of these. Not for any great sum, but it's nice to have that reinforcement that some folks will value the work (or any of my work) enough that they would actually purchase the work.

Art is an actual business of course. I have a book keeper, Lima, and an accountant, Max. I have an overhead. Supplies, rent, reference, education, etc. all add up. Some I write off, and some I value enough to just eat the expense since trying to convince the government about it would be more trouble than it's worth. I always appreciate that the people and businesses that buy my work or the rights to use it. It's also a stamp of approval in the best way possible. After all, it's pretty easy to say something than expend the physical energy to do something.

I might have this one in Anghouleme, France for this upcoming festival along with the fairies.
