I had a bespoke suit made back in August of '14. The main reason was to have something presentable to wear at my opening at Last Rites. I always wanted to dress in suits but have rare occasion to wear them. Molly loves to see a guy dressed in a suit, I always want to be that "guy", so this was as good number of reasons I was going to get. The month before, in July, I was at the Last Rites opening for Stefano Alcantara. He wore a really nice suit and looked like "success". There was no doubt he was the the main guy that night. I examined my own presentation and realized it was time to invest in my wardrobe.
The suit fit me perfectly. ( a first! ) It was from Martin de Tours Clothier. I had a great show, selling pretty well. I don't know if the suit made any difference, but I really liked the new look. Paul Booth and crew delivered my few unsold painting back to my studio and also a big fat check for my work that sold. As luck would have it, a new clothier had just opened in my neighborhood and was having a half off sale. Artist on pay day! The drunken part came later.
I'm still waiting on one of the jackets I had made, but I have the shirt I purchased!
