Two models posing. I'm almost always fascinated with two models posing at Spring Street Studios. Last week? or two weeks ago there were two men posing together. I don't think they knew each other before hand but managed to get a good rhythm about halfway through. The poses were dynamic and they intertwined to create challenging shapes. This past week the models obviously didn't know each other and it really showed how they posed. It was as if they were posing solo but in the same room. The man's shape seemed so much larger to me than the woman and I kept missing the proportions. I realized that this was going to be one of those times I was going to struggle. I began to focus on where their bodies interacted which was minimal at first, but got more involved later. I also hated drawing the guy's beard as well. I kept drawing his head out of proportion to his and her's body. As frustrating as I was drawing in the session, I was very happy to be challenged and hopefully come away with a better approach for next time. This was the 1st 20 minutes of a 40 minute pose. I changed seats and drew the 2nd 20 minutes from a new spot. They were pretty far apart on this 20 minute pose. I drew the woman first and drew the man closer second. Comments are closed.
