I'm just absorbing things right now. I've seen some really cool engines of late and I think they'd be good source material for some of my latest paintings.
Figure drawing again at Spring Street Studios. Two models this time. The plan was to meet my friend, Tayyar Ozkan, to draw. Tayyar is from Turkey and was in town visiting family for the month. I originally met him when he was living in New York in the early 90's. I was working at DC Comics penciling the title Animal Man. We had a mutual friend, Randy DuBurke. I met Randy in the copy room as he was making some copies of what would become his first children's book.
Since Tayyar has not been in the states for a few years, the subway welcomed him with dysfunction. He got there about an hour late. My usual 10-15 minute trip took 45 minutes, so I was a bit late also. The models were really fun to draw!
Not much going on in December. Just hunkering down for the winter and enjoying my friends and family. Hope you are as well!
Please look over the Prints page and get them all.
Have a good Easter/Passover or month.
Now is a good time to commission a portrait or purchase some physical art for the winter!
If you'd like to commission me for a painting... Portraits with my surreal aesthetic only. The face you have and my paint brushes! Estimated turnaround 3 months. Shorter will cost more. Contact me now.
